Elements of Superman IV: The Quest For Peace, starring Christopher Reeve and Gene Hackman, were filmed in Milton Keynes (which doubles as Metropolis) in 1986.
Internationally renowned UK artist Richard DeDomenici has pioneered a series of creative and witty recreations of sections of popular films around the world and now brings his Redux Project to the city to take on Superman IV.
With the help of the good citizens of Milton Keynes as cast members, Richard will reshoot key scenes from the original film during IF: 2016, the 30th anniversary of the film being made.
This will include the iconic flying scenes in front of Milton Keynes Central Station, which stood in as the United Nations building.
REDUX PREMIERE SCREENING - Saturday 23 July, 6pm at the Former Bus Station/The Buszy at 401 Elder Gate MK9 1LR: The new footage will be screened alongside the original scenes in a special cinema experience for participants and the wider public to enjoy.
Superman IV Redux celebrates Milton Keynes’ recent past in a creative, fun and engaging way that is sure to be a hit in the city and beyond, as well as with comic and superhero film fans.
Superman IV Redux will be delivered in association with Independent Cinema MK
