Liquid Gold Is The Air is a video installation with sound, by Rosemary Lee with Roswitha Chesher
Sound design by Graeme Miller including original music composition by Terry Mann
Liquid Gold Is The Air is a three-screen video installation with sound, inspired by the Cathedral of Trees, the magical arboretum planted more than 30 years ago on the exact footprint of Norwich Cathedral, located in Newlands, Milton Keynes.
This vibrant and compelling video-work captures the haunting beauty of the tree-scape with fleeting vignettes and distilled moments from the live outdoor performance of Under The Vaulted Sky created by choreographer Rosemary Lee as Artist-in-Residence for IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2014.
Liquid Gold Is The Air will tour to cathedrals, galleries and other spaces in 2015 and 2016 having previewed in Milton Keynes in early March this year.
Under The Vaulted Sky was commissioned by The Stables for IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2014 and supported by an Arts Council England Exceptional Award and Milton Keynes Council.
Produced by The Stables and Rosemary Lee Projects with Arts Admin.
Sponsored by the University of Bedfordshire and MK Community Foundation, with support from South East Dance and The Parks Trust.
