Clash of Drums is an outdoor, moving parade and standing event that takes place at night-time. The parade involves small fireworks along the parade and lots of noise, culminating in a dramatic firework-packed finale.
Please watch your step whilst moving, particularly if following the parade route. Please do not bring pets or very small children.
The finale takes place in The Point Car Park, between Lower Tenth Street and Secklow Gate in Central Milton Keynes. The nearest postcode for the Car Park is MK9 3NB.
VIEWING PLATFORM: A raised viewing platform for wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility is located in The Point Car Park. The nearest on-foot or wheelchair access to this is via Secklow Gate (closed to vehicles - for more information see here)
To secure a place on the platform, arrival before the parade enters the car park is recommended. The parade and finale are approximately 50 minutes in length and is due to arrive at The Point Car Park around 25 minutes after it sets off:
FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER: The parade starts at 8pm from Lloyds Court, travelling along Secklow Gate. It is estimated to arrive in The Point Car Park at 8.25pm.
SATURDAY 3 OCTOBER: The drummers will leave Campbell Park via Avebury Boulevard after the England v Australia rugby match ends. You can watch the match free in the big blue tent at the Fanzone in Campbell Park and then follow the drummers down to The Point for the spectacular fireworks finale.
If you want to follow the drummers from the start point: Gather at around 9.30pm at Gate 2 near the amphitheatre in Campbell Park. There's no advantage to getting there earlier unless you are watching the game in the Fanzone - we don't want you to get cold!
Picking up the parade en route: You can join the parade as the drummers pass through Avebury Boulevard opposite Xscape en route to The Point.
If you are just going to the Finale: Gather at The Point Car Park between 10pm and 10.15pm
Please note that timings are subject to the speed of the parade which may be determined by the performers and crowd numbers.
