In a solo voice-theatre performance delivered within MK Gallery’s Cadences exhibition, acclaimed performer Melanie Pappenheim sings three uplifting songs about hitting the ground in a response to the themes of falling, destruction and gravity.
With staging by Emma Bernard and costume created by Deborah Thomas, this promises to be a musical and visual treat. Featured composers - Paul Clark: Coloro, Orlando Gough: Falling and Errollyn Wallen: Daedalus.

Cadences: Works from the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam and film by Catherine Yass runs from Friday 27 June to Sunday 7 September 2014 at MK Gallery. Admission is free. This exhibition presents a unique mix of historical and modern paintings, prints and ceramics on loan from one of Holland’s most illustrious and encyclopaedic art collections, exploring themes of flight, falling, destruction and gravity. British artist Catherine Yass, Turner Prize nominee in 2002, also presents Flight (2002), a film made with a camera attached to a model remote-control helicopter. Read more here
