The Les Clöchards started off earning their daily red wine as the most unusual street music act on the Côte d’Azur and then swapped the street for the stage and played more than 500 shows across Europe.
At the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival they took their audience by storm and won a Three Weeks Editors’ Award for their outstanding performances.
Equipped with a home-made drum accumulation, double bass, an old Philicorda organ, saxophone, melodica, Stylophone, a custom Dobro guitar and some more even less well-known instruments, Les Clöchards create a slugfest of music with a twist of comedy and rock’n’roll that attacks eyes, ears and abdominals.
“It is mad. It is effortlessly cool. It is utterly spellbinding. It is a superior kind of chaos.”***** Broadwaybaby
