Kaffe Matthews: The lock shift songs in the unit opposite Door 10 of centre:mk (shopping centre) MK9 3EP: 10am – 7pm. In a walk along the Grand Union Canal - which connects London to Milton Keynes - Kaffe Matthews has collected sounds (including from under the water) and stories from people who live, use or work on the waterways. These have inspired songs and a composition that play through a series of large ‘sonic beds’ that people can lie in for a fully immersive and sensory sound experience. Commissioned by the Canal & River Trust and IF: 2014.

Ray Lee: Chorus at The Hub Milton Keynes MK9 2DA: 12noon – 2pm, 5pm – 7pm and 9pm – 10pm. Chorus is an impressive sound installation, comprising a series of huge metal tripods with rotating arms which emit a pulsating sound whilst lights (activated for the night-time presentation) create the effect of a whirling swarm of fireflies or planets in motion. Tracing rings above the audience, the combined chorus of the spinning speakers creates a cohesive harmonious whole that is transfixing and uplifting. Sponsored by the Open University.
