THE IRON MAN COMETH!
Last seen at the Festival with their 'Against the Tide' production - memorable for being performed on sway poles and as seen in the 2012 Paralympic ceremonies - Graeae Theatre Company are back with another performance to delight young and old alike.
The unexpected arrival of the towering Iron Man casts a shadow of fear across a small farm community. But when an enormous dragon from outer-space threatens to annihilate the planet, it is the Iron Man who comes to the rescue.
Ted Hughes’ classic modern fable is brought to life through a colossal iron puppet, live and recorded soundscapes and a compelling mix of words, sign language and audio description.
A talented cast of deaf and disabled actors and musicians come together under the direction of Amit Sharma to re-create one of the greatest modern-day fables in an adaptation which spans generations and leaves audiences enthralled.
Winner of the Award for Best Children’s Show at The Brighton Festival and three Children's Choice Awards at the Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
All performances incorporate audio description and BSL interpretation.
The Iron Man was written by Ted Hughes and has been adapted for Graeae by Paul Sirett
