Composer and musician Raghu Dixit leads his Project collective blending Indian and world music styles - a fitting end to The World Picnic which takes place in Campbell Park from 1pm - 6pm.
Often referred to as India's biggest cultural export of recent times, Raghu Dixit's rise has been nothing short of spectacular. This former Bharatanatyam dancer's rousing singer-songwriting is not only a symbol of metropolitan India's blossoming alternative music scene, but is also making waves internationally.
As seen on BBC TV's Later With Jools Holland, at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival and performing for The Queen at the Diamond Jubilee Special celebrations on ITV.
